Hidalgo County Passes Resolution to Boost Job Placement through WorkInTexas

McAllen, Texas – Workforce Solutions (WFS) in partnership with the Hidalgo County Prosperity Task Force aims to uplift residents living at or below the poverty level. Hidalgo County passed a resolution encouraging local employers, municipalities, and economic development corporations to designate WorkInTexas as their primary platform for job seeking and job listing purposes. WorkInTexas is a comprehensive and versatile job matching system operated by the Texas Workforce Commission that is free to use and helps in navigating the job search process, making it easier for job seekers to find suitable employment opportunities.

The Prosperity Task Force, which seeks to connect residents to economic prosperity, educational opportunities, and social services, has been working tirelessly to increase job placements in Hidalgo County. The use of WorkInTexas is expected to improve job matching activity and result in more job placements.

By passing the resolution, the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court recognizes and promotes the use of WorkInTexas as the primary online job platform for Hidalgo County residents.
