Pharr, Texas – Rudy's Bar-B-Q, a beloved establishment known for its mouthwatering barbecue, has been awarded the prestigious Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) HireAbility Employer of the Year Award. This recognition was announced at the TWC Conference held in Grapevine, Texas, on December 5th, where Rudy's emerged as the top choice among 12 nominees from across the state. The award celebrates Rudy's commitment to hiring individuals with disabilities and fostering an inclusive workplace.

Nominated by Workforce Solutions (WFS), Rudy's Bar-B-Q has been acknowledged for its significant contributions in integrating individuals with disabilities into their workforce. The company has implemented various initiatives to support these individuals, ensuring they thrive in their roles. Their dedication extends to adapting its physical and operational infrastructure to be more accessible, enabling all employees, regardless of their abilities, to perform at their best.

Workforce Solutions serves as the governing body for the workforce development area that includes Hidalgo, Willacy, and Starr counties.
