To celebrate our veterans, transitioning military, and military families, priority access will be granted at the Hiring Red, White and You! Job fair. This exclusive entry period will be from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, allowing them ample time to directly engage with employers and explore job opportunities. The doors will open to the general public at 9:30 AM, with the event continuing until 12:30 PM. Best of all, the job fair is completely free to attend.
"Veterans bring an invaluable array of skills and experiences to the workforce, and as a community, it is our responsibility to aid them in transitioning to civilian employment. The National Center for Veterans Analysis and Statistics reports that around 22,130 veterans live in Hidalgo, Willacy, and Starr Counties. Events like Hiring Red, White, & You! provide an excellent platform for employers and veterans to connect, allowing us, as a society, to express our appreciation and dedication to those who have served our country," stated Francisco Almaraz, CEO of WFS.
“We are proud to collaborate with Workforce Solutions to host the Hiring, Red White, and You! job fair, which underscores our steadfast commitment to supporting veterans and the broader community in their pursuit of meaningful employment and fulfilling careers. This partnership is a testament to our dedication to enhancing economic opportunities and fostering a thriving workforce in Mission,” said Teclo Garcia, CEO of MEDC and US Air Force veteran.
To ensure a smooth entry process, we encourage everyone to sign up beforehand by registering at: wfsolutions.org/rwy
We invite you to share the news with your community and join us in making the most of this valuable opportunity for our veterans!
