This national recognition highlights Workforce Solutions’ outstanding leadership, community partnerships, and innovative approach to workforce development. WFS was selected as the national recipient by a panel representing more than 570 workforce development boards across the United States.

The annual statewide initiative, designed to connect veterans, military families, and job seekers with employers ready to hire, exceeded expectations and delivered measurable impact across the Rio Grande Valley.

McAllen, TX – The recent Jumpstart Career Expo, organized by Workforce Solutions (WFS) in partnership with the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, Lone Star National Bank, Hidalgo County, and the McAllen Economic Development Corporation (EDC), proved to be a resounding success, drawing a remarkable 690 job seekers and resulting in 412 job seekers invited by employers to begin the application and screening processes to obtain employment. The event, held at the Bert Ogden Arena, showcased the collaborative efforts of local businesses and community organizations committed to fostering employment opportunities and economic growth in the region.
