PHARR, Texas – Workforce Solutions Lower Rio Grande (WFS), in partnership with The PossAble Dream Foundation and The PossAble Dream Adult High School, has been awarded a $150,000 Texas Industry Partnership (TIP) Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to provide workforce training for 22 students pursuing careers in two of the region's most in-demand occupations: HVAC Technician and Medical Assistant.

McAllen, Texas — April 1, 2026 — Workforce Solutions Lower Rio Grande Valley (WFS) has been awarded the prestigious 2026 Excellence in Community College Partnership Award by the National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB). This national recognition highlights Workforce Solutions’ outstanding leadership, community partnerships, and innovative approach to workforce development. WFS was selected as the national recipient by a panel representing more than 570 workforce development boards across the United States.
